Important information about cleaning entry units!

We live in special times. The most important thing right now is health! We hope that you are doing well. We think it is important that everyone continues to be well. It goes without saying that all precautions arising from COVID-19 contribute to this. That is why you should know how to properly clean your entry unit without damaging it. Therefore, please find the instructions for cleaning M-LOCKS entry units below.

• Except entry units DT2006, our entry units are not IP-rated. Hence these are not protected against dust and moisture do not spray it directly with any liquid cleanser / disinfectant.
• Only a lint-free cloth, lightly moistened with mild soap may be used to clean the keypad (without alcoholic / aggressive ingredients).
• Please test the mild soap's impact on the surface in an inconspicuous area.
• Do NOT over-moisten the cloth to prevent run out or squeezed out liquid.
• Gently wipe the keypad in any area considered as a touchpoint paying particular attention to NOT touch any electrical connectors that may be exposed such as an audit- / programming- / battery port or an Dallas-key reader.
• Ensure that no liquids accumulate or form droplets that can freely move into electrical connections or keypad gaps.
• Do NOT use the above procedure on any lock, because these are NOT designed to be cleaned by any moist media.
