I lost the code of my electronic lock. Is it possible for M-LOCKS to open the lock?
No, as soon as you changed the code of the lock M-LOCKS can not open the lock with a code. There is no ‘supercode' for M-LOCKS. All codes have to be stored in a safe place. Do not store the codes close to the locks or in an obvious place. Do not store the codes in the space that is locked by the same lock
If you are really in distress you can contact M-LOCKS.
When operating the lock, i.e. pressing a key, nothing happens, no audio or lightsignals.
Replace the battery by a Duracell Procell Alkaline- or Energizer battery. If this is not the solution, check the visible part of the wiring for damages.
How can I replace the battery?
In most cases the battery is build-in in the keyboard. Often behind a hatch or a sliding door.
Sometimes the battery is in the space that is locked by the lock itself. In that case there are two contacts on the keyboard. Press a fresh battery against the contacts in order to temporary supply the lock with the power needed.
I hear a long tone after pressing the last digit of the code. The lock does not open.
You have entered the wrong code.
The LED flashes every ten seconds. After pressing a random key I hear a long audio signal.
You supplied the wrong code too often. You are in ‘penalty mode', wait until the LED stops flashing and try to enter the right code.
After entering the code the lock opens but I hear a series of short tones,
The battery is at the end of it's lifecycle. Replace the battery by a Duracell Procell Alkaline- or Energizer battery.
If I remove the battery from the system are the codes in the lock's memory reset?
No, the codes in the lock do not depend on the power supply. Nobody can reset the lock by just removing the battery.
